Earth University, Costa Rica
The Foundation has committed to a 10-year sponsorship programme at the Earth University in Costa Rica, whereby 2 scholarships will be awarded each year to students from Nigeria and Ghana. In 2011, an extra, part scholarship was awarded to an exceptional second Nigerian candidate. These 3 talented students have begun a degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources. The hope is that they will return to their respective countries with the practical knowledge, passion, and leadership skills, to catalyze change in the agricultural sector, and encourage more sustainable agricultural techniques that would support both the environment, as well as rural livelihoods.
