MSC in Haemoglobinopathies e-course, UCL

Launched in June 2009, UCL’s e-course ‘MSC in Haemoglobinopathies’ was the first of its kind to be developed. Its objective was to teach healthcare professionals all aspects of sickle cell disease and thalassemia, with an emphasis on holistic patient care. The major benefit of this virtual format is the flexibility it allows for students to study in their own workplaces, guided by regular student/tutor video tutorials. The Foundation’s grants initially contributed to the development of this ground-breaking course, and went on to support one Nigerian e-learning scholarship annually.

Grants given:

2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
