Equipment of the RSF ambulance, RSF Hellas
RSF Hellas is a voluntary organisation based in Moschato, Attica. It was established in 2011 by doctors, paramedics, physiotherapists and first responders with more than 15 years’ experience in rescue teams in Greece. A member of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) – a global network of urban search and rescue organisations in more than 90 countries under the auspices of the United Nations – RSF Hellas is one of the few internationally recognised voluntary organisations in the country. As a permanent member of many European volunteer organisations, and one which maintains cooperation protocols with many of its peers internationally, RSF Hellas provides emergency medical services and equipment across Greece. In 2017, with the support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, RSF Hellas equipped its voluntary ambulance and thus was able to provide emergency response in the devastating Attica wildfires in 2018.
