Enriching the Talking Book Library, Lighthouse for the Blind, Greece

Lighthouse for the Blind supports individuals with vision impairment since 1946. Today, its Talking Book Lending Library holds 3000 titles, available in digital format, as well as two fully equipped studios for the recording of books both in Greek and other languages. With the support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, the Talking Book Library produced 112 new audio books (short stories, novels, autobiographies, as well as volumes on history, psychology, folklore and volumes of testimonies), enriching the available reading material quantitatively and qualitatively and offering visually impaired individuals access to a wealth of Greek and international literature and other historical and educational material.
