Megaron Plus, Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall
Α part of the educational work of Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall since 2005, the Megaron Plus programme, supported by the A. G. Leventis Foundation, is directed to a broad social base through events that reflect new, emerging ideas and the arts. The annual Megaron Plus programmes are designed to cover a wide range: contemporary debate and political thought, science and the environment, the arts, prose and poetry. They also include children’s programmes and workshops, as well as international collaborations and cooperation with the academic community. Guest speakers who have fascinated Athenian audiences include Al Gore, Romano Prodi, Dominique de Villepin, Massimo D’Alema, Segolene Royal, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, Bernard Tschumi, Renzo Piano, Glenn Lowry, Irvin Yalom, Paulo Coelho, Orhan Pamuk, Isabel Allende, Pavel Kohout, Robert Gallo, Luc Montagnier, Magdi Yacoub, Neil Turok, Michael Nyman, Iakovos Kampanellis, Jannis Kounellis, Panayiotis Tetsis, Kiki Dimoula and Titos Patrikios, amongst others.
