A.G. Leventis Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Earth Science, University of Exeter

In 2016, the A. G. Leventis Foundation provided support to fund a new three-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Exeter in the Department of Earth Sciences. This gift supports Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Tom Powell, in collaboration with world-leading researcher Professor Tim Lenton, Chair in Climate Change and Earth System Science, in the study of the global potential to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through reversing past forest degradation, which aims to mitigate the negative consequences of climate change.
