From the early 1990s, the Trustees of the Foundation took the decision to begin to assemble a small, representative collection of works by the most important early Cypriot artists.  The objective was to gather works by the first generation of painters, the innovative and pioneering artists of Cyprus, who laid the foundation for contemporary Cypriot art. A valuable addition to this Collection is the monumental work The World of Cyprus by Adamants Diamantis, on permanent loan from the Teloglion Foundation of Art at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
