Terra Cypria
Terra Cypria - the Cyprus Conservation Foundation - was set up in 1992 with funding from the A. G. Leventis Foundation as an educational NGO to promote environmental awareness in Cyprus and protect the island’s natural resources and heritage. Its twin objectives are to engage the decision-makers of today through seminars and reports, and to educate younger pupils and students though the Cyprus Environmental Studies Centre. The Foundation’s funding enables Terra Cypria to work on a number of levels - monitoring and researching government environmental decisions; monitoring six Natura 2000 sites; and providing scholarships for promising students to study at the Environment Studies Centre.
